In line with this commitment, MaSa safeguards its workforce and all those impacted by its activities from occupational injuries and illnesses through the rigorous management of health and safety risks.
Driven by a belief in the highest international OHS standards and best practices, MaSa places great importance on incident prevention. This commitment is demonstrated through active involvement, consultation, and motivation, alongside the continual enhancement of employees’ OHS capabilities via strong leadership, comprehensive training, and open communication.
Furthermore, MaSa enforces a stringent permit-to-work system and conducts thorough risk assessments to oversee maintenance and contractor operations within its jurisdiction, supported by advanced engineering solutions, safe tools, proper work equipment, and personal protective gear.
MaSa being a multinational and multilingual organization, all MaSa employees unite as one team with the shared goal of preventing incidents by taking ownership of OHS responsibilities and upholding a positive safety culture.
Environment
Royal Commission Environmental Regulations (at present RCER 2015 version) are applicable for MaSa facilities in Jubail and Yanbu and Ras Al Khair, with respective Environmental Permit to Operate (EPO), of Sea Water Cooling, Potable and Process Water production and networks, and Industrial and Sanitary Wastewater collection networks and treatment plants. Other requirement of MEWA and SWA are implemented as required from time to time.

MaSa is certified for the above ISO Management Systems Standards for all O&M Facilities under MaSa, both at Jubail and Yanbu. Various facilities certified are, Sea Water Cooling System for industrial cooling, Potable and Process Water network and plants to supply community and industries, Industrial and Sanitary Wastewater network and treatment plants and supply irrigation water.
